Man taken to hospital after being struck by car in East Central Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man is recovering after being hit by a car in East Central Fresno Sunday afternoon.

The California Highway Patrol says the victim was crossing the street at Madison near Dewitt before 4 p.m. when he was hit. The driver didn't see the man, who was knocked onto his windshield.

The victim was taken to Community Regional Medical Center with unknown injuries but is expected to be OK.

The investigation is still ongoing, and officers say the driver is cooperating.
