FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man was taken to the hospital after being stabbed Sunday morning in Winton.

Family members say the man was stabbed in the back and chest after leaving the Winton Way Market. The 31-year-old was nearby on Myrtle Avenue near Suzie Street when Merced County sheriff's deputies arrived. He was flown to Modesto and is now recovering.

Deputies tracked down two 19-year-old suspects who they believe are tied to the incident. Luis Huerta was booked into jail for assault with a deadly weapon. Carlos Aguilar was booked on misdemeanor charges, including battery and resisting arrest.
