Merced Fire Department produces video chronicling what they experience of 4th of July holiday

MERCED, Calif. (KFSN) -- Merced City firefighters are still recovering from a full two days of fire calls. The fire department put together a video of what they experienced over the Fourth of July holiday.

They recorded fire calls over a 48 hour period from 8:00 a.m. on Monday until 8:00 a.m. Wednesday morning. During that time they had a total of 53 calls for service, 20 of them on the night of the Fourth.

Three of the calls were for structure fires and six were grass or tree fires.

The firefighters worked non-stop.
