Merced Police honors fallen officer

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Merced Police Department is honoring Stephan Gray 12 years after he was gunned down during a traffic stop.

A memorial flag was raised in his honor at the Merced Police Headquarters Friday. Fellow colleagues and some of Gray's loved ones were at the memorial service.

Gray was 34-years-old when he was shot by a gang member who had been on the run.

That man has since been convicted and is on death row.
