FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A stolen truck led authorities to a massive meth lab operation in Fresno County.
The Fresno HEAT Team served a search warrant at a home near Belmont and Cornelia after a tip about the truck. When they arrived, they found the stolen vehicle, and discovered a massive meth lab inside the home.
CHP Officer Johnny fisher said, "So that was the original reason why we were even out here to begin with. Auto theft is a felony and it's an obvious problem here in the Central Valley which has led us to take a half million dollars of poison off the streets."
Officials confiscated 30 pounds of crystal meth which has a street value of $500,000. Three men from Salinas were arrested at the home. They'll be charged with several felonies -- including manufacturing and possession of drugs for sale and auto theft.
