Military plane crashes north of Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- The Air Force has confirmed a military plane has crashed north of Sacramento. The U2 plane was with the 9th Reconnaissance Wing at Beale Air Force Base, east of Yuba City.

The plane went down in a small range called the Sutter Buttes, about 35 miles west of the Buttes.

Officials say the two pilots were ejected before the crash.

Investigators are on the scene. Details haven't been released about the training mission or why the plane may have gone down.
