FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The missing hiker from Clovis, Gregory Hein, has been found alive. Search and rescue crews located him Thursday night. We're told he suffered a broken leg, and has been transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The Fresno County Sheriff's Office released the following statement to Action News.

Gregory Hein, the 33 year old hiker last seen on July 3rd, has been located. Earlier tonight, shortly after 7:00pm, ground searchers found Hein near Davis Lake at an elevation of over 10,000 feet.

Hein had become incapacitated due to a broken leg. SAR personnel stabilized him and he was extricated from the area. Hein is currently being flown to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.

It is now believed Hein made his hike to Mt Goddard, and injured himself on the way back down. He may have been injured for several days.

Several SAR members are still in the search area and will remain there overnight until they can be extricated tomorrow.
