Mobile home fire in North Valley leaves 2 people homeless

ATWATER, Calif. (KFSN) -- Two people in the north valley are without a place to stay after a fire badly damaged their mobile home.

Fire officials said the flames broke out just before 4:00 Thursday morning near Ashby and Fern near Atwater.

Two people were inside at the time but made it out safely through a window. Fire crews were able to put out the flames but the trailer was badly damaged.

The Red Cross is now helping the family find a new place to live.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
