New well in Tulare County to help 2 communities
The county has plans to buy a parcel of land and it will cost $20 thousand to dig the new well.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The county has plans to buy a parcel of land and it will cost $20 thousand to dig the new well.

The community of Yettem, just north of Visalia, has had problems with it's current well for years in terms of the quality and amount of water it can put out. The new well will help drought victims there, as well as people nearby in Seville.

"Ideally, we would like to connect that system -- Seville, with Yettem, and then we could have a backup well to strengthen the system and balance it so you don't overtax it," said Eric Coyne, Tulare County.

The county is also working on a new well to help people in East Porterville.
