North Valley teacher charged with 2 counts of child molestation

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Marilouise Hawks, 64, was first arrested last month for sexually abusing teenage boys at the Iris Garrett Juvenile Justice Complex.

Investigators say they uncovered the abuse after discovering notes Hawks was sending to two 17-year-old boys.

The Merced County Office of Education confirms she taught at Los Banos Valley Community School until staff members were alerted of the accusations.
