FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno Police are asking for your help in finding an armed robbery suspect.

Police say the suspect entered the Walgreens on Ashlan Avenue and Marks Avenue on Monday, just before 11 p.m. They say he wore a ski mask and was carrying a gun.

The suspect demanded money from the clerk and stole part of the cash register. Detectives say the suspect ran out into the street, got into a car, and drove off.

"We do know for certain that there was people driving on Ashlan Avenue when the suspect ran southbound to escape from the robbery. We'd like those people who saw the suspect to call our department, the Fresno Police Department Robbery Unit, and provide them with any assistance that can help us apprehend and identify the suspect," said Lt. Dave Ramos, Fresno Police Department.

No one was hurt. There's no word on how much money was stolen, but police say this was not connected to any other recent robberies in the city.
