FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- People lined the streets of Downtown Fresno for the Veterans Day parade. They came to enjoy the marching bands and salute to local veterans.

It was a little chilly out there Tuesday morning -- but it was heart-warming to see so many people thanking the veterans for their service. Some people got very emotional along the parade route.

"It makes me feel proud," said Joseph Martinez of Fresno. "Very proud sir and I'd do it again. I'd do it again."

Rudy Garza of Easton added, "I want to tell everyone in the community if you see someone with a World War II hat stop, shake his or her hand, talk to them. They're our story tellers. They're the last of that run."

The U.S. Coast Guard was honored during the 95th Veterans Day parade. Captain Edward Westfall served as grand marshal.
