Pets die in Oakhurst mobile home fire

FRESNO, Calif. -- A man suffered minor burns in Oakhurst while trying to rescue three pets from a mobile home fire.

Cal Fire confirms the blaze destroyed the home on Dorstan Lane near Road 222 Saturday night.

Sierra News Online reports no one was home, but a neighbor tried to save two dogs and a cat that were still inside. His hand was burned in the process, and the animals did not survive.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
