Parlier man arrested after attempting to kill his estranged wife and children, police say

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Parlier Police say Mario Zamora-Sanchez was arrested early Monday morning in a rural home on the outskirts of Reedley.

Police say there was a short standoff before Zamora-Sanchez surrendered to officers without incident.

According to authorities, Mario Zamora-Sanchez snuck into his estranged wife's home and beat her with a club early Sunday morning. They said he then attacked his three children with a knife when they came to the defense of their mother.

All four family members were injured but are expected to recover.
