Police searching for armed robbery suspect who held up a hardware store in Central Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno police are looking for the man accused of robbing the store where he had just bought items.

Officers said the man entered the Harbor Freight hardware store on Blackstone near Hedges around 3:00 p.m. They said he asked about some merchandise and eventually bought some flashlights.

Police said a few minutes later he returned to return the items and that's when he pulled out a handgun and demanded money.

Officers aren't clear how much cash was taken, but they have surveillance video they believe will identify the man.

The suspect was wearing a gray shirt and black pants.

Shoppers said he drove away in a small red car southbound on Blackstone.
