Porterville man dies in crash involving a big rig

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Authorities are investigating a deadly crash in the South Valley.

The Tulare County Fire Department shared photos of the accident. It happened just before 2:00 Saturday afternoon on Highway 198 near Road 60.

The CHP says a pick-up truck drifted into the slow lane and collided with the back of a big rig.

The driver of the white truck was killed. He's only been identified as a 44-year-old Porterville man.

The big rig driver was not hurt.
