FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Alabama police now have the man connected to killing five people Sunday, including a couple with ties to Fresno.
Investigators said 27-year-old Derrick Dearman turned himself in hours after he broke into a home where his girlfriend was staying and killed 5 people.
Dearman kidnapped his girlfriend and a toddler before handing himself over to police.
Among those killed were Justin Kaleb Reed, 26, and his 23-year-old wife Chelsea who was five months pregnant.
The couple lived in Fresno for about a year until May.
Justin planned on studying in Fresno but the couple moved to Alabama when they found out they were expecting a child.
