FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Faster than protestors could react, Donald Trump's CHP escort blew through a barricade leaving his Fresno rally Friday.

In his wake, hundreds of people against the Republican nominee and his supporters left quietly.

But before the rally was a different story. Protestors met people as they were leaving the rally sparking confrontations.

Among the passionate, some were calm.

"We wanted to be part of a peaceful protest against a heinous man whose words and actions against women, minorities and the handicapped should make us ashamed to even consider him as President," protestor Peggy Vaughn-Dotta said.

"He's racist," protestor Felicia Hurtado exclaimed. "And I don't want my kids to know racism."

In total, only two people were arrested for blocking a roadway long after Trump made his exit.

There were no gunshots fired, and, again, no one injured," Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer said. "Overall, I'm very pleased with the outcome."

It was a peaceful ending to an at times chaotic protest.
