Residents sue owner of Summerset Village Apartments
The suit claims that the complex is unsafe, unsanitary, uninhabitable and in a serious state of disrepair.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Tenants of the Summerset Village Apartments have filed a lawsuit against property owner Chris Henry.

The lawsuit contends the plaintiffs are all low-income residents of the Summerset Apartments. The suit claims that the complex is unsafe, unsanitary, uninhabitable and in a serious state of disrepair.

Crews have been busy for weeks now fixing the exteriors of the two dozen buildings and the insides of the more than 200 apartments. Henry told Action News in December that he's planning on paying for all of the costs to fix all of the problems.

Despite all the work being done to get the complex up to code, the lawsuit was filed in Fresno County Superior Court Thursday.
