FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Fresno County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that the man found dead north of Coalinga on Tuesday was shot. The man's body was located off Highway 33, about a half-mile north of Highway 198.
Investigators say a few drivers traveling on Highway 33 noticed what they thought was an injured man off the road and called the California Highway Patrol. Officers responded to the scene and determined the man was dead. He has been identified as Hector Steven Lemus, 37, of Santa Clarita.
