Sheriff's deputies bust marijuana grow in Chowchilla
More than 3,700 marijuana plants were seized, along with four firearms.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Madera County Sheriff's Department seized nearly 4,000 marijuana plants Thursday.

When deputies served a search warrant in the 19000 block of Avenue 23 in Chowchilla, they discovered the grow operation.

More than 3,700 marijuana plants were seized, along with four firearms.

Deputies arrested Valentin Lugo Galindo.

They say he admitted the marijuana was being cultivated to sell to a dispensary in Merced.
