FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Authorities are searching for three people after a shooting at a Northwest Fresno gas station, which left a man in critical condition.

Fresno police say a man and his nephew were at the Chevron station at Shaw and Barcus avenues just before 1 p.m. Friday. Another car pulled into the station, and the victim began talking with the people inside. Police say it appears the victim may have been flirting with the two women in the car, which the male driver didn't like.

"The next thing you know, the driver shoots through the passenger window of his vehicle, because you see, there's video of it, you see the female passenger get back like this, he shoots in front of her and hits the victim," said Lt. Joe Gomez with the Fresno Police Department.

Police are not releasing video of the shooting at this time.

The victim was shot in the back, elbow and leg. He was taken to Community Regional Medical Center where he immediately went into surgery, but he is expected to survive.

The suspect vehicle is described as a mid-2000s two-door pewter colored Honda Civic or Accord.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact the Fresno Police Department at (559) 621-7000.
