A man who went on a stabbing rampage while at an apartment complex pool in East Central Fresno has been found not guilty by reason of insanity.

Jacob Velasquez, 25, actually pleaded guilty to the crime on Thursday, but three doctors and the judge all agreed he's legally insane. Investigators say the man was armed with a knife and may have been on drugs when he stabbed two young women and a man last year.

Velasquez will be sentenced to a mental institution next month.
