FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Fresno man faces DUI charges after a crash that knocked the power out overnight.

Investigators say the driver was drunk around ten last night when he lost control near Ashlan and Highway 168 in Central Fresno. They say he crashed into a power pole and then into a light post, but was not hurt.

Investigators say the driver did have plenty of options before deciding to drive. "Call a taxi, Fresno has Uber, call anybody, call a friend, call us if they need help, we'll arrange a ride for them, but don't drive," said Sgt. Mike Smith, Fresno Police.

Crews had to make repairs to power lines overnight to get some stop lights back up and running in that area.
