FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A group of neighbors in the Tower District are taking a stand against crime Monday.

City leaders, including Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer will meet with a group of concerned residents to talk about crime in the area. The Facebook group "Please Help Stop Crime in the Tower District" started the campaign after a recent rash of crime throughout their part of the city.

Stephen Mintz says he hopes the meeting will shed light on how dangerous the area is becoming.

"We need something done in the Tower and we need the police to help us do it," he said.

The meeting will take place at Heaton Elementary School from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
