SELMA, Calif. (KFSN) -- A woman escaped any serious injuries on Sunday after her car was hit by a train while she was still inside.
Selma police say the woman was crossing the railroad tracks at Highland Avenue and Golden State Boulevard around 6 p.m. She had driven past the crossing arms as they started coming down. But instead of backing up, police say she panicked and drove forward, trying to make a U-turn.
The woman couldn't get out of the way in time, and the train collided with her car. Luckily, she didn't suffer any injuries but was taken to a local hospital as a precaution.
