Truck crashes into train in Madera County
The California Highway Patrol says a truck crashed into a train that was stopped on the tracks. The driver and two passengers got out of the pickup before it was hit by a second train.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Crews have cleared the wreckage from a crash on the train tracks in Madera County Saturday morning.

It happened near Avenue 9 and Road 33 and 1/2.

The California Highway Patrol says a truck crashed into a train that was stopped on the tracks. The driver and two passengers got out of the pickup before it was hit by a second train.

The impact destroyed the vehicle leaving it in several pieces.

One passenger had minor injuries from the initial crash and the driver was arrested on DUI charges.
