Two dead in shooting at Ben Taub Hospital in Houston

HOUSTON -- Police say a man fatally shot a woman in the pharmacy of Ben Taub Hospital before turning the gun on himself.

Authorities say the shooting Wednesday afternoon appears to be a murder-suicide that involved two people who worked at the pharmacy. It's believed the violence was prompted by a spurned romantic relationship. Police have not yet released the names of the man and woman involved.

Police spokesman Victor Senties says the shooting was confined to the pharmacy at Ben Taub Hospital. At least two customers witnessed the shooting. About seven employees were inside the pharmacy at the time.

No other injuries were reported.
