FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The recent wet weather is welcome news to Valley wine grape growers.

The Winegrowers Association says last week's storm and the approaching one are a great start for a hopefully normal season. Since grapes are dormant this time of year, rain won't do any damage and will only create better conditions in the spring.

But the association says even if this year does reach average rainfall totals, it still wouldn't make up for the loss from recent drought years.
