Victim's girlfriend arrested for deadly Central Fresno stabbing
Authorities have made an arrest in a Central Fresno murder.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno police say they have arrested 33-year-old Joycelyn Steward on murder charges after the stabbing death of her boyfriend in Central Fresno early Monday morning.

Police initially responded to the stabbing around 4 a.m. at an apartment complex near Vassar and San Pablo avenues. When they arrived they found a man was dead with multiple stab wounds.

The coroner's office is conducting an autopsy on the man, who police say was a 47-year-old African American man.

Neighbors on this block were shocked by the news. One said the man and the woman would have occasional fights, and police did confirm there was an argument of some kind before the stabbing, but they say there's no history of domestic violence.
