VIDEO: Recently released video shows prison escape in Canada using helicopter

CANADA (KFSN) -- Video released Tuesday in Canada shows a daring prison escape using a helicopter.

The clip shows inmates at a detention center in Quebec dangling from a rope. Prosecutors revealed the video from 2013 as part of the trial of one of the escapees.

It was an elaborate plot. Two accomplices hijacked the helicopter and forced the pilot to fly to the jail where the two inmates were waiting. They clung to the rope while the chopper took off but they were recaptured just a few hours later.
