FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A woman is recovering in the hospital Saturday after almost drowning in Millerton Lake.
First responders say she swam out about 30-yards off shore in the afternoon when she went under for about two minutes.
A Good Samaritan and the woman's brother pulled her out of the water.
Nearby EMT crews were able to revive the woman at the lake but she was airlifted to the hospital out of precaution.
First responders say she was not wearing a life jacket or near an area protected by lifeguards.
