MERCED COUNTY (KFSN) -- The woman accused in a deadly North Valley crash that was live streamed on social media returns to court.

Obdulia Sanchez, 18 of Stockton, is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Wednesday afternoon. Her attorney does not believe alcohol or Instagram had anything to do with the crash.

The crash happened July 21st on the outskirts of Los Banos killing Sanchez's 14-year-old sister.

Family members said Sanchez was on Instagram Live before, during, and after the crash. But the public defender said the tires on her car are to blame.

Sanchez is in jail on more than a half-million dollars bail.
