FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A group of volunteers are getting an introduction to Fresno weather on what is expected to be the hottest week of the year so far.
More than 100 teens are trying to beat the heat at the Fresno Rescue Mission while serving the Valley. It is part of the experience with World Changers. Students from California, Arizona and Washington are here to help out local communities.
The students will work each day from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., but organizers say they will get as much work as they can done early in the morning which is the coolest portion of the day.
