Bowl for Kids' Sake kicks off in Clovis

CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) -- Strikes and spares are raising money for Valley kids this weekend.

Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Central California held the first of its annual 'Bowl For Kids' Sake' tournaments at Rodeo Lanes in Clovis on Saturday. Every year, teams from throughout the Valley compete for prizes, with all the proceeds going to the Big Brothers, Big Sisters program.

The event is the organization's second largest fundraiser with more than 500 bowlers competing just in Saturday's tournament. Other tournaments in Fresno, Visalia, Hanford, and Madera will also take place in the coming weeks.
