Chefs take part in 'food fight' to help Visalia Rescue Mission
Dozens of chefs in the South Valley went head-to-head in the kitchen on Sunday to help the Visalia Rescue Mission.

VISALIA, Calif. (KFSN) -- Dozens of chefs in Visalia went head-to-head in the kitchen on Sunday for a good cause.

The 6th annual Food Fight Against Hunger brought teams of two together to serve up their tastiest plate in 30 minutes.

Action News South Valley reporter Jessica Peres was one of the guest celebrity chefs. She wowed judges with her filet mignon topped with shrimp dish.

But first place went to Farmersville Police Chief Mario Krstic and Deputy Sheriff Kenny Jones for their steak entree.

The proceeds from Sunday's event will benefit the Visalia Rescue Mission.
