FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Community Food Bank got a large donation of over $140,000 from Baker Peterson Franklin-- which is an accounting and consultant firm. This is the sixth year the two organizations have partnered together.

Baker Peterson Franklin recently had a golf tournament where they were able to match and raise $143,000. This donation will be able to provide nearly one million meals.

"I think that's the power of change. I think that it's that $1 it starts. To be able to do that in one family and multiply that over 2.5 million people is huge," said Michael Holtermann, partner with Baker Peterson Franklin.

Over the last six years, they have donated over $300,000.

Andy Souza, CEO of Community Food Bank, said this has been a tremendous help to the Community Food Bank.

"Our work doesn't happen without great partners like that and their generosity year after year. To invest in us not only one time but year in and year out just makes a huge difference in a region that unfortunately is still struggling after the economy and is still struggling with hunger."

Baker Peterson Franklin said they want to continue their partnership and hope to raise even more money next year.
