This man truly went on the bike ride of a lifetime.

Cyclist Kamran Ali traveled more than 6,000 miles on his trip, which took him through 16 countries. The globe-trotter was inspired after a flight when he stared out of the window and began to imagine seeing all the places he was flying over.

"He had secretly promised to himself that one day he will return and visit all these places on a bicycle and find out the answers of these questions himself," his website reads.

Born in Pakistan, Ali works as a computer programmer in Nuremberg, Germany. He hopes his journey will inspire others to pursue their dreams.
