Darkness envelops Fresno County Board of Supervisors meeting

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A power outage in Downtown Fresno has politicians working by flashlight and cell phone light.

Electricity at the Fresno Hall of Records went out just before 10. Right in the middle of a Board of Supervisors meeting where board members continued to meet using cell phone lights and other portable lights. At the meeting, Sal Quintero was selected as the Board of Supervisors Chairman.

Officials said the power outage was an internal issue and maintenance crews are working to fix the problem.
