Employees from POM Wonderful give back to community
All operations at the POM Wonderful plant were put on hold Friday as employees participated in a community service day.

SANGER, Calif. (KFSN) -- All operations at the POM Wonderful plant were put on hold Friday as employees participated in a community service day.

All the juice making was put on hold as employees from POM Wonderful get out of the plant and into the community.

"It's very rewarding. To have the opportunity to shut down, and spend the day out here. it's a beautiful day too," said James Navarro, POM employee.

Every single employee from the plant is spread out across Sanger and Del Rey, doing everything from putting new shelves together, to putting fresh paint on the walls. That's what happened at one of the Boys and Girls Club locations where unit director Kim Ozuna is more than grateful.

"To have people come out and not just paint your room, buy your tables and chairs. Stuff the kids need. It's really nice."

It's something the company does year after year to show support to the surrounding community where many employees live.

"We're just restoring, painting the restrooms, the concession stand, a little bit of work down on the softball field, we're doing the basketball court," said Allison Moglia, POM employee.

Leveraging the strength of their workforce to impact the lives of their neighbors.

"This type of thing is important for the community. It's good for the spirit, good for the heart, and I think more companies like the Wonderful company should be doing activities like this," said Navarro.

"I can't even express myself. It's amazing to have people come out and volunteer their time. I'm asking, can I help, and they're saying, no sit down relax. I'm like, please let me help, and they're not allowing me to, so it's kind of amazing for that," said Ozuna.
