Fresno City College's Asian Fest goes on despite rain
Saturday's rain required a few minor adjustments at the Fresno City College Asian Fest.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Saturday's rain required a few minor adjustments at the Fresno City College Asian Fest. The annual event took place on campus, but organizers moved the performances indoors to keep everyone dry.

The festival celebrates the Asian culture through traditional dancing, martial arts, food, games and activities for kids. The coordinators say it was a success, despite the wet weather.

"Today is just such a great celebration, and the rain is a blessing on one hand. It did dampen our spirits maybe a little bit, but it is great for the Central Valley anytime we get rain, so we're very happy about that," said coordinator Maile Martin.

Action News anchor Margot Kim had the honor of serving as emcee for the festival.
