Within moments of putting the wall up Valley residents visited, leaving gifts at the landmark.

MADERA, Calif. (KFSN) -- This year is the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War, and through this weekend, Valley residents can stop by and pay tribute to those who served during the war.

The moving wall is at the Madera Courthouse Park through Monday morning. There are 58-thousand names on this wall- which is a replica of the landmark memorial in Washington D.C.

Within moments of putting the wall up Valley residents visited, leaving gifts at the landmark.

The moving wall will be open 24 hours through the weekend and will be taken down Monday morning at 9 a.m. An official welcoming ceremony will be held at the wall Saturday morning at 11 a.m. The public is welcome to attend.
