FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Community members are showing their unity in the wake of recent violence in Parlier.

The city, its police department and its clergy council hosted a block party on Saturday. They gathered at Fett and King streets, where 16-year-old Brianna Ramirez was shot in the eye back in February. At least two other shootings have also taken place in this same neighborhood since then.

This event was held to bring residents of all ages together in a positive way, to build connections and share information.
