Titled "The Teddy Bear," the video from Duracell depicts the story of a young girl and her beloved teddy bear that plays a message from her dad when hugged. While the stuffed animal is initially a comfort in her dad's absence, the girl becomes frustrated because she ultimately wishes her dad was really home.

But the story has a happy ending. The little girl appreciates that the teddy bear does offer at least some connection with her dad, and one day when she hears her dad's voice, she realizes it's not just her bear. Her dad is finally home!

Duracell says the video is based off of Robert Nilson and his family's story. Nilson, a Navy air traffic controller, and his wife Denise gave their two daughters a teddy bear on the day of his deployment that had a pre-recorded message to comfort them while he was away.

The video was made to show support for U.S. military members on Independence Day, and to shed light on the issues military children may face when their parents are deployed.
