Tulare County town celebrates own public library
The 1,400 square foot facility offers books, DVDs, magazines and computers for the neighbors to enjoy.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The small community of London, California is celebrating the opening of their own library thanks to the vision of one Tulare County man.

Robert Isquierdo Jr. said he got the idea in 2014 and with the support from the county and other donors they had their grand opening Saturday morning. The 1,400 square foot facility offers books, DVDs, magazines and computers for the neighbors to enjoy.

"That was the vision that drove me through the dark times when there was the red," Isquierdo Jr. said. "When there was the struggle. ...Just like this."

For now, they are open Wednesdays and Fridays but they hope to get more funding and to open five days a week. The Tulare County Library System now serves 16 communities with this new addition.
