The 30th Annual Pint for Pint Blood Drive kicks off Friday, July 28th. The Central California Blood Center is teaming up with ABC30 and Baskin Robbins for this summer time incentive.

If you donate a pint of blood at participating locations July 28-29th, you will receive a coupon for a free pint of Baskin Robbins ice cream.

The Central California Blood Center is the sole provider of blood and blood products for the 30 hospitals in Fresno, Tulare, Madera, Kings and Mariposa Counties. CCBC must collect between 5,000 to 6,000 pints of blood a month to meet the needs of our community.

CEO Dean Eller who is retiring at the end of the month, sat down with Valley Focus host Margot Kim to talk about the center's mission. He also talked about his personal story and the legacy his family leaves with the Central California Blood Center.
