FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Valley non-profit organization caring for abandoned cats is in the running to win $5,000 as part of an online contest. So far Cat House on the Kings is in the lead.

This 12-acre property in Parlier is home to thousands of cats, who get to roam freely indoors and outdoors. Cat House on the Kings was created in 1992 and through the years, more than 28,000 have been rescued.

If the organization wins the Shelter Challenge they'd be able to use that money to pay for the costs to run the operation.

The deadline to vote is April 10th and everyone can vote at least once a day.
