Addicott Sports Day
More than 100 kids with special needs showcased their skills on Friday at Addicott Sports Day.

FRESNO, Calif. -- More than 100 kids with special needs showcased their skills on Friday at Addicott Sports Day.

120 Special Olympic athletes came to Addicott School in East Central Fresno. They got the chance to bowl, meet some animals, enjoy some cotton candy and get their faces painted.

The Fresno Police Department help puts on the event every year and showed kids an up close look at their motorcycles. Even McGruff the crime dog made an appearance.

Chief Dyer says today's event is a chance to showcase the abilities people living with special needs have, and highlight those instead.
