FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- On Saturday, the Fresno County Fairgrounds will host a watch party at the Brian Tatarian Grandstand. Fans will be able to watch California Chrome live as he races in the Belmont Stakes.

The colt was in New York Wednesday morning where the race will take place. He is being watched around-the-clock by security due to his rising popularity after winning the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes.

If California Chrome wins on Saturday, he will be the first horse to win the Triple Crown since 1978.

The event begins at 8 a.m.
