Fresno State lost to San Diego state 17-3 Friday night in Mountain West Conference play.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno State lost to San Diego state 17 to 3 Friday night in Mountain West Conference play. The Bulldogs' homecoming crowd of 24,731 could not propel the home town team to a win over their West Division rivals.

Donnel Pumphrey led the Aztecs with 220 yards rushing and 2 TD's including a 13-yard score late to put the game away. 'Dogs QB Chason Virgil finished with 139 yard passing with 2 INT's. Fresno State is now 1-6 overall and 0 to 3 in Mountain West play.

'Dogs will travel to play Utah State October 22.
